This warm-up match is a significant one for Shaw, who is set to make his Ranji Trophy comeback with Maharashtra after playing for Mumbai in the 2024-25 season. Shaw had a poor run with Mumbai, scoring only 59 runs from four innings, and was subsequently dropped due to form and fitness concerns. Shaw sought a No Objection Certificate (NOC) from Mumbai and shifted his base to Maharashtra earlier this year.
