Kebbi State Governor Vows Zero Tolerance For Insecurity

Kebbi State Governor, Dr. Nasir Idris, has reiterated his administration’s commitment to maintaining a zero-tolerance stance on insecurity throughout the state. During a meeting with the Elders Consultative Forum in Birnin Kebbi, the governor emphasized the importance of collective effort in achieving lasting peace. He stressed that this requires cooperation from government institutions, security agencies, traditional rulers, religious leaders, and citizens.

The governor’s administration has implemented various measures to bolster the state’s security architecture. These initiatives include the establishment of a State Security Committee, which is chaired by the governor, enhanced intelligence gathering, and investment in technology-driven security operations. Additionally, the administration has created more Forward Operational Bases (FOBs) in vulnerable areas to improve security presence.

According to Governor Idris, these efforts are already yielding positive results. There has been a notable reduction in kidnapping and other criminal activities, particularly in the Kebbi South area. Furthermore, improved surveillance has helped prevent infiltration into Kebbi North. The governor affirmed that his administration is fully committed to maintaining peace and will continue to invest in security measures to protect the lives and property of citizens.

The governor’s commitment to security is part of a broader effort to ensure the well-being of Kebbi State’s residents. By working together with various stakeholders, the administration aims to create a safe and secure environment that fosters economic growth and social development. As the state continues to implement its security initiatives, it is likely that the positive trends will persist, leading to a more stable and prosperous Kebbi State.
