Nigeria Prosperity Under President Tinubu Gains Momentum

Akpabio, Moro at loggerhead over senators’ defections

Nigeria’s Senate President, Godswill Akpabio, has reiterated his confidence in the country’s path to prosperity under the administration of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu. Akpabio made this statement at a public function in Abuja, organized by Professor Abubakar Olanrewaju Sulaiman, Director-General of the National Institute for Legislative and Democratic Studies (NILDS).

During the event, Akpabio commended Professor Sulaiman for his notable contributions to Nigeria’s democratic development and capacity building within the legislature. He described Sulaiman as a dedicated patriot and scholar committed to national progress. The Senate President emphasized the National Assembly’s commitment to transforming Nigeria’s governance framework through an ongoing constitutional review. This review aims to strengthen democratic institutions and promote good governance, ultimately enhancing growth, unity, and stability in the country.

Akpabio stated, “Nigeria is becoming a better country for prosperity under President Tinubu. The National Assembly will continue to support reforms that promote growth, unity, and stability.” Earlier, Professor Sulaiman expressed satisfaction with his role in shaping Nigeria’s legislative and democratic principles. He highlighted the growth of NILDS into a global institute for the exchange of ideas and knowledge on legislation, democracy, and good governance.

Under Sulaiman’s leadership, NILDS has become a hub for research, policy innovation, and international collaboration. The institute’s development reflects the country’s efforts to strengthen its democratic institutions and promote good governance. As Nigeria continues its constitutional review, the National Assembly’s support for reforms is expected to play a crucial role in shaping the country’s future. The outcome of these efforts will be significant in determining Nigeria’s path to prosperity and stability under the current administration.
