Senator Ned Nwoko has spoken out following a viral video showing his wife, Regina Daniels, visibly distressed — sparking massive speculation about trouble in their marriage.
In a post shared on Instagram on Sunday, the Delta North lawmaker described Regina’s recent behavior as “drug-influenced” and accused her of going on an “unprovoked carnage” while he was away.
“Regina was not always like this. Her current battle with drugs and alcohol abuse is the root of our problem,”
he wrote, adding that she “must continue her rehabilitation program, or I fear for her life and safety.”
According to the 64-year-old politician, the actress allegedly went on a violent rampage, attacking staff and destroying property within their home.
“She slapped and hit three staff in the past 48 hours and destroyed property, including cars and windows, for no just cause,”
Nwoko claimed, insisting that he has “never been violent” toward any of his wives.
He further alleged that Regina had relocated to a place where she could have unrestricted access to drugs, saying he had set a condition for her to accept rehab either in Asokoro or abroad — preferably in Jordan.
“A clear-headed Regina would have taken Moon (our son) to the hospital,” he added,
“but instead she even threatened to kill our resident nurse for exposing her drug abuse.”
Family Fires Back
However, Regina’s brother, Ojeogwu Danhillman (popularly known as Sammy West), fired back on Instagram — accusing Nwoko of assaulting his sister and warning that he would “fight with his blood” to protect her.
“Anywhere wey man dey beat woman, whether na my sister or not, I go fight with my blood,” he wrote.
The cause of the altercation remains unclear.
Regina and her management team have not yet issued any official response to the senator’s claims.
Public Scrutiny and Past Rumors
This isn’t the first time the couple’s marriage has faced public attention.
Back in February 2025, actress Chika Ike publicly denied rumors linking her pregnancy to Nwoko, calling the claims “false and baseless.” The gossip escalated when Regina briefly deactivated her Instagram account.
By March 2025, Nwoko moved to quell speculation, reaffirming his love for Regina and announcing that she was expecting their third child.
Regina, who began acting as a child in 2007’s Marriage in Sorrow, has appeared in over 100 Nollywood films, including Miracle Child, Python Girl, and Queen Rebecca.
She married Nwoko in 2019 at age 18, and the pair share two children together.
Nwoko — a lawyer trained at Keele University and Lincoln’s Inn, London — returned to Nigeria in 1998 and ventured into politics a year later. He previously represented Aniocha/Oshimili Federal Constituency from 1999 to 2003.
The situation between the couple remains unclear as both sides continue to trade words online — but one thing’s certain: social media is watching closely.
