'Having one wife is like standing on one leg' - Ned Nwoko on crisis with Regina Daniels [VIDEO]

Nigerian Senator Ned Nwoko sparked controversy with his comments on polygamy, saying that having one wife is comparable to standing on one leg. Speaking on Channels TV, the politician—who is currently facing marital issues with his fourth wife, actress Regina Daniels—expressed sympathy for men with only one wife, citing the “difficulty of standing on a single leg” as a reason for his own polygamous lifestyle. He argued that multiple wives provide more balance in life, explaining, “Just imagine telling you to stand on one leg; you know how difficult it is. But it is much more balanced to stand on two, three, or four.” Nwoko said he has no regrets about his choices and would make the same decisions again.

His remarks come amid a publicized marital crisis with Daniels, who recently accused him of domestic violence in a viral video. In response, Nwoko alleged that Daniels has a substance‑abuse problem. The dispute has raised concerns about the couple’s well‑being and the potential end of their marriage. Recently, Daniels posted a picture of herself standing on the balcony of a new house, captioned “I needed a roof over my head,” fueling speculation that she may have moved out of the marital home. Reports also suggest she may have acquired a new house in Lagos State.

The public feud between Nwoko and Daniels highlights the complexities of polygamous relationships and the challenges they can present. As the situation continues to unfold, it remains uncertain how the couple will navigate their differences and whether their marriage can be salvaged. For now, Nwoko’s comments on polygamy have added to the ongoing debate about the practice and its implications for families and society.
