Ships Arrive Lagos Ports with Petroleum Products

The Nigerian Ports Authority (NPA) has announced that 17 ships are expected to arrive at the Apapa and Tin-Can Island ports in Lagos between November 3 and 7. According to the NPA’s daily Shipping Position document, 13 of the expected vessels are carrying petroleum products, including crude oil, diesel, aviation fuel, gas oil, gasoline, and petrol. The remaining four ships are laden with containers of various products.

In addition to the expected arrivals, six ships have already berthed at the ports, awaiting clearance to discharge their cargo, which includes general cargo, petrol, containers, and bulk urea. Meanwhile, 16 ships are currently at the ports, discharging a range of goods such as general cargoes, bulk wheat, fresh fish, bulk gas, containers, and petrol.

In a related development, the NPA has also announced that 14 ships are expected to arrive at the Lekki Port in Lagos between November 3 and 7. These vessels will be carrying crude oil, aviation fuel, containers, diesel, petrol, and gas oil. Currently, nine ships are waiting to berth at Lekki Port, with cargo including crude oil, gasoline, bulk urea, petrol, gas oil, and crude oil.

The NPA’s announcements provide insight into the busy schedule of Nigeria’s ports, which play a critical role in the country’s economy.
