APC Kano Leaders Unite for 2027 Elections

Leaders of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Kano State have concluded a four-day strategy meeting in preparation for the 2027 general elections. The meeting, organized by former governor Dr. Abdullahi Umar Ganduje, brought together party leaders from all 44 local government areas to discuss unity and trust within the party.

The final session, which involved stakeholders from the Kano North Senatorial District, including local government chairmen and caucus members, focused on building a strong foundation for the party ahead of the elections. Ganduje emphasized the importance of unity, stating that the meeting aimed to ensure complete unity within the party and reaffirm solidarity with the Federal Government under the leadership of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.

According to Ganduje, the delegates and executives demonstrated a strong commitment to maintaining the APC’s dominance in Kano and across Nigeria. The party leaders also requested permission to begin public endorsements of President Tinubu as the APC’s sole presidential candidate for 2027. Ganduje directed that APC offices across all local governments and wards should be reopened and fully active to improve mobilization at the grassroots level.

To enhance digital registration, the party plans to engage ICT personnel ahead of the APC’s digital registration exercise. Ganduje reminded the attendees that Kano had previously recorded the highest number of APC members in the country and encouraged each local government to provide three computer experts who would be trained and deployed for the e-registration exercise.

The party also urged officials to step up mobilization for the ongoing voter registration by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), encouraging eligible citizens, especially new voters, to register before the elections. With the 2027 general elections approaching, the APC’s strategy meeting in Kano State aims to strengthen the party’s position and ensure a strong showing in the upcoming elections. The outcome of this meeting is expected to have significant implications for the party’s performance in the 2027 elections.
