Kano APC Endorses Tinubu for 2027 Election

BREAKING: I will clear my schedule to visit Benue Wednesday — Tinubu

Leaders of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Kano State have unanimously endorsed President Bola Ahmed Tinubu as the party’s sole presidential candidate for the 2027 election. This declaration was made following a three-day stakeholders’ meeting held at the residence of former National Chairman and Kano APC leader, Dr. Abdullahi Umar Ganduje.

The meeting, which brought together representatives from all 44 local government areas and 484 wards of the state, was described as a “strategic demonstration of unity and preparedness” by Umar Idris Shuaibu, an APC leader in Kano. Shuaibu highlighted Ganduje’s efforts in consolidating party structures and fostering grassroots cohesion, stating that “Kano stands firmly behind Tinubu” and praising Ganduje’s role in ensuring the APC operates as a disciplined, cohesive, and mobilized party.

During the meeting, key resolutions were made to maintain coordination across wards, strengthen party offices, and prepare for upcoming elections. Additionally, Ganduje instructed that all local government and ward offices remain functional to accommodate new members defecting from opposition parties. This move is seen as a strategic step to bolster the party’s support base ahead of the 2027 election.

The APC’s decision to endorse President Tinubu reflects the party’s commitment to unity and its preparation for the upcoming election. With Kano State being a significant political stronghold, the endorsement is likely to have a notable impact on the party’s national strategy. As the 2027 election approaches, the APC will likely focus on consolidating its support base and strengthening its party structures to ensure a strong showing at the polls. The party’s efforts to prepare for the election and its commitment to unity will be closely watched in the coming months.
