Atiku Urges ADC Leaders To Rescue Nigeria From APC Failings

Former Vice President Atiku Abubakar has called on leaders of the African Democratic Congress (ADC) to intensify their efforts in the mission to “rescue Nigeria” from the perceived failings of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC). Mr. Atiku made this appeal during a meeting with state chairmen of the ADC in Abuja, where he emphasized the need for swift action.

The meeting, which took place on Monday, was attended by the Kogi State Chairman of the party, Ogga Temitope Kingsley, among others. In a statement released on Tuesday, Mr. Atiku expressed his satisfaction with the ADC leaders’ enthusiasm about his recent membership in the party. He encouraged other members and leaders of the coalition to formally register with the ADC, stressing the importance of active participation in the party’s activities.

Mr. Atiku reiterated the coalition’s commitment to working towards a secure, united, and prosperous Nigeria, accusing the APC of exacerbating the country’s crisis. He commended the state-level party leaders for prioritizing the country’s future and expressed his resolve to stop the APC from further destabilizing the nation.

Since joining the ADC, Mr. Atiku has been engaging in consultations with various political groups and party structures to strengthen the party’s base ahead of future elections. The ADC, as part of a broader coalition, aims to provide a viable alternative to the ruling APC. With Nigeria’s political landscape continuing to evolve, Mr. Atiku’s involvement with the ADC is seen as a significant development in the country’s political sphere.

The ADC’s mission to “rescue Nigeria” is centered around addressing the country’s socio-economic challenges, which have been exacerbated by the APC’s policies, according to the party. As the country prepares for future elections, the ADC and its allies are poised to play a crucial role in shaping Nigeria’s political trajectory. With Mr. Atiku’s leadership and the party’s renewed sense of purpose, the ADC is gearing up to challenge the APC’s dominance and offer a new vision for Nigeria’s future.
