Gwamnishu arrested after VeryDarkman reports incident to police

Social media critic VeryDarkman has confirmed that he initiated the call leading to the arrest of activist Harrison Gwamnishu, who is currently in police custody in Benin, Edo State. In a Facebook video, VeryDarkman stated that Gwamnishu was taken into custody on Thursday night after he contacted the police following reports of an incident involving the activist in Auchi.

VeryDarkman expressed disappointment with the details of the incident and had advised against publicizing the matter online. However, a video surfaced on social media, prompting him to challenge those involved. He criticized Gwamnishu’s response video, describing it as an attempt to manipulate public sentiment. VeryDarkman also mentioned that one of the individuals who posted the video claimed to have done so to clear his name after being accused of having ties to the case.

According to VeryDarkman, the police had instructed those present not to record the incident, but a clip showing Gwamnishu returning money connected to the case was still captured. Gwamnishu’s truck is currently at the police station in Edo State. VeryDarkman denied acting out of jealousy, stating that he intervened because he believed the truth needed to be upheld.

The social media critic hopes that upon Gwamnishu’s release, he will publicly disclose the truth about the incident. VeryDarkman warned that he may be forced to reveal more details if Gwamnishu fails to do so. The incident has sparked a heated debate online, with many calling for transparency and accountability.

The arrest of Gwamnishu has significant implications, highlighting the importance of social media responsibility and the need for fact-based reporting. As the investigation unfolds, it remains to be seen how the situation will be resolved. The police are expected to provide further updates on the case, and Gwamnishu’s release is anticipated to shed more light on the incident. For now, the public awaits the truth about what transpired in Auchi, and the role of social media in shaping the narrative.
