Party chieftain reveals reasons for mass defection to APC in Abia

The All Progressives Congress (APC) has announced new dates for its National Caucus and National Executive Committee (NEC) meetings in an official notice posted on the party’s website. The notice, signed by APC National Secretary Senator Ajibola Basiru, details the revised schedule for the two key gatherings.

The National Caucus Meeting is now set for Thursday, 18 December 2025, at 6:00 p.m., while the NEC Meeting will be held on Friday, 19 December 2025, beginning at 3:00 p.m. Both events will take place in the Banquet Hall of the Presidential Villa in Abuja, providing a central venue for party members to convene and discuss important matters.

The APC’s decision to shift the dates appears to be a strategic move aimed at ensuring maximum attendance and participation from its members. As one of Nigeria’s major political parties, the APC plays a significant role in the nation’s governance and political landscape. The National Caucus and NEC meetings serve as crucial forums for party leaders to deliberate on key issues, set policy agendas, and make decisions that affect both the party’s direction and the broader country.

The revised schedule is likely to attract interest from political observers and stakeholders both within Nigeria and internationally. As the meetings approach, attention will focus on the outcomes and any potential implications for the party and the nation. With the new dates confirmed, the APC is poised to proceed with its internal deliberations, shaping its trajectory and potentially influencing Nigeria’s wider political environment.
