The event, which took place on Sunday, saw Korir win the men’s race with a time of 02:02:24, the eighth best performance globally this year and just eight seconds shy of the 2025 record.
In the men’s competition, Amanal Petros of Germany came in second, setting a new national record with a time of 02:04:03. Norway’s Awet Kibrab completed the podium, finishing in 02:04:24. The women’s race was equally impressive, with Jepkosgei crossing the finish line in 02:14:00, the fastest women’s marathon time of the year and the fourth fastest time ever recorded. Belgian athlete Chloé Herbiet secured the third spot on the podium, achieving a record time for Belgium with 02:20:38.
