Akwa United coach unhappy with draw result against Godswill Akpabio FC

Akwa United’s head coach, Paul Offor, has expressed disappointment with the outcome of their recent match against Godswill Akpabio FC, which ended in a 1-1 draw. The match, played at the Uyo Township Stadium on Sunday, saw the Promise Keepers create several scoring opportunities, but they were unable to capitalize on them.

According to Offor, the team’s performance was satisfactory, despite the disappointing result. “I’m impressed with their performance,” he stated in an interview with the club’s media. “The result does not reflect our effort. We played very well and created clear-cut chances, but it’s disappointing that we couldn’t take them.”

Offor commended his players for their fighting spirit, which enabled them to secure a draw. “Our ball play is improving, and I commend my boys for fighting back to get something from the game,” he added. The coach’s comments suggest that the team is making progress, but still needs to work on converting their chances into goals.

The draw leaves Akwa United with a share of the points, but they will be looking to improve their performance in their next match. With the Nigerian football season still in its early stages, the team has time to regroup and work on their weaknesses. Offor’s focus on his players’ performance and their ability to create scoring opportunities is a positive sign, and the team will be looking to build on this in their upcoming fixtures.

The match against Godswill Akpabio FC was a closely contested encounter, with both teams creating scoring opportunities. The final result was a fair reflection of the balance of play, but Akwa United will be disappointed that they were unable to take all three points. As the season progresses, the team will be looking to improve their consistency and convert their chances into wins. With Offor at the helm, the Promise Keepers will be aiming to make a strong push for the top spots in the league table.
