Nigerian comedian Klint Da Drunk has shared the reason behind his career switch from music to comedy. In a recent interview with Naija FM Lagos, he explained that his initial pursuit of a music career while studying at the Institute of Management Technology, Enugu, was cut short after witnessing a performance by fellow student 2Face.

Klint Da Drunk recounted that after watching 2Face perform at a campus event, he realized that music might not be his calling. He had been scheduled to perform at the same event but decided not to after being impressed by 2Face’s talent. This experience led him to reevaluate his career goals and eventually transition to comedy.

The comedian expressed no regrets about his decision, stating that he is satisfied with his current career path. Prior to focusing on comedy, Klint Da Drunk was involved in the music industry, featuring in the popular song “Obodo” by rapper Mr Raw and co-founding a music group with him. The group participated in the Star Quest talent show in 2002, finishing as runners-up.

Klint Da Drunk’s success in the comedy industry has led to numerous opportunities, including roles in over a dozen Nollywood films, such as “Men On The Run,” “Madam 10/10,” “Fast Cash,” and “Lost Kingdom.” His career transition has been notable, and he has established himself as a prominent figure in Nigerian comedy.
