2025/2026 Police Recruitment Application Open

The Nigerian government has approved a large-scale recruitment exercise to strengthen national security, as the Police Service Commission (PSC), in partnership with the Nigeria Police Force (NPF), announces the recruitment of 50,000 new police personnel. The initiative, led by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, aims to address rising crime rates and enhance internal security nationwide.

Application Portal Opens December 15, 2025

The online application portal for the Nigeria Police recruitment will be open from December 15, 2025, to January 25, 2026. Interested candidates can apply for positions as Police Constables (General Duty) and Specialist Personnel through the official portal: https://npfapplication.psc.gov.ng

Eligibility Requirements for Nigeria Police Recruitment

To qualify for the 2025/2026 Nigeria Police recruitment, applicants must:

  • Be a Nigerian citizen by birth
  • Be physically and mentally fit
  • Have good character with no criminal record
  • Be free from financial embarrassment
  • Meet the age requirements:
    • 18–25 years for General Duty applicants
    • Up to 28 years for Specialist roles

Female applicants must not be pregnant during the training period and must meet all specified physical standards.

Educational Qualifications

  • General Duty Applicants: Minimum of five (5) credits, including English Language and Mathematics, in SSCE/NECO or equivalent
  • Specialist Applicants: Minimum of four (4) credits, relevant trade experience, and valid trade test certificates

Applicants are advised to prepare clear soft copies of the required documents, including:

  • First School Leaving Certificate
  • SSCE/NECO results
  • Birth certificate or age declaration
  • Trade certificates (for Specialists)
