Flights resume Abuja Ibadan route December 24

Air Peace Limited has announced the resumption of daily return flights between Abuja and Ibadan, effective December 24, 2025. The airline made this announcement on Friday via a statement on X, a social media platform. The decision to restart flights on this route follows the reopening of the Samuel Ladoke Akintola Airport in Ibadan, Oyo State.

According to the airline, fares for this route will start at 95,000, providing travelers in Ibadan and surrounding areas with a convenient and affordable connection to the nation’s capital. This development is particularly significant as it coincides with the festive season, offering enhanced travel options for those planning to visit Abuja.

The Nigeria Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA) had earlier approved the commencement of flight operations at Ibadan Airport, paving the way for Air Peace’s announcement. The Ibadan airport was closed in February 2025 to facilitate maintenance and upgrade works, which have now been completed.

The resumption of flights between Abuja and Ibadan is expected to boost travel and economic activities in the region. Air Peace’s decision to offer daily return flights on this route underscores the airline’s commitment to providing reliable and affordable air travel services to its customers.

With the reopening of the Ibadan airport, travelers can now look forward to easier access to Abuja, the nation’s capital. The development is also expected to have a positive impact on the local economy, as it will facilitate the movement of people and goods between the two cities.

The airline’s announcement has been welcomed by stakeholders, who see it as a significant step towards enhancing air travel connectivity in the region. As the festive season approaches, the resumption of flights between Abuja and Ibadan is expected to bring relief to travelers who have had to rely on alternative modes of transportation since the airport’s closure.
