The Adamawa State government has inaugurated ten new permanent secretaries, tasking them with upholding integrity and dedication in their duties. Governor Ahmadu Fintiri supervised the swearing‑in ceremony on Tuesday, while the state’s Attorney General and Commissioner for Justice, Barrister Afraimu Jingi, administered the oaths of office and allegiance.

According to Governor Fintiri, the appointees were selected on merit and are expected to promote effective governance and improved service delivery. He emphasized that the position of permanent secretary carries significant responsibility, as the officeholders will play a crucial role in strengthening the state’s governance structure.

The newly appointed permanent secretaries are Albert Ray, Purity Timothy, Hamidu Njidda, Hauwa Banu, Yusuf Peter, Abdul‑Azeen Buba, Regina Njidda, Abdullahi Shuaibu, Soyi Daniel, and Paulina Yusuf. Speaking on behalf of his colleagues, Albert Ray pledged their commitment to professionalism and strict adherence to their oaths of office.

The inauguration forms part of the state government’s broader effort to revamp the civil service and enhance administrative capacity. By appointing these officials, Adamawa aims to improve public‑service delivery and ensure that citizens’ needs are met effectively. The new permanent secretaries will oversee various aspects of the state’s administration, work closely with other officials, and drive development and growth.
