Christmas aid reaches hundreds in Montserrado County

A joint initiative by Hon. Richard Sio and Montserrado County Electoral District No. 16 Representative Dixon W. Seboe brought relief to hundreds of families in the district during the Christmas season. The duo distributed over 200 bags of rice, cash, and assorted food items to residents, aiming to alleviate economic pressure on vulnerable households.

The main distribution event took place on December 24, 2025, at the Borough Multipurpose Building, attracting beneficiaries from the district’s 28 communities. Many recipients praised the timely gesture, which came amid rising living costs during the holiday period. Sio, a native of the Borough now based in the United States, collaborated with Rep. Seboe in a display of community solidarity, underscoring their commitment to supporting constituents beyond the political calendar.

The partnership between Sio and Seboe is built on mutual respect, brotherhood, and a shared dedication to giving back to the community. Sio commended Rep. Seboe’s humility and compassion, noting that their collaboration has enabled sustained outreach to those in need, particularly during festive seasons. In a statement on his Facebook page, Sio reaffirmed his resolve to continue working closely with Seboe to advance development across the district, with plans to launch new initiatives focused on infrastructure improvement and expanded social services in early 2026.

The food distribution exercise continued on December 26, with additional support extended to social and religious institutions in preparation for New Year celebrations. Beneficiaries expressed gratitude for the effort, offering prayers for the two leaders. The initiative has become an annual tradition, highlighting the importance of community engagement and support during the holiday season. As the district looks to the future, the partnership between Sio and Seboe is expected to continue making a positive impact on the lives of residents, with a focus on sustainable development and social welfare.
