Katsina State Governor Dikko Umaru Radda condemned the recent attack on a mosque in Borno State, calling it a cruel and senseless act against innocent worshippers. The incident caused deaths and injuries, leaving families and communities in mourning. In his statement, Governor Radda stressed that places of worship must never be targets of violence, as they should remain sanctuaries of peace and reflection. He noted that every life lost represents a grieving family and a traumatized community, underscoring the urgent need to sustain efforts against terrorism and violent extremism across the country.

The governor urged security agencies to intensify operations, strengthen intelligence gathering, and ensure that those responsible for the attack are brought to justice. He also called on Nigerians to remain united and vigilant, emphasizing that national unity is crucial in confronting insecurity. Governor Radda reaffirmed the commitment of Northern governors to continue working with the Federal Government to improve security and protect lives and property.

The mosque attack has sparked widespread condemnation, with many demanding increased security measures to prevent similar incidents in the future. It serves as a stark reminder of the ongoing security challenges facing Nigeria, particularly in the North‑East region. Governor Radda extended condolences to Borno State Governor Babagana Umara Zulum, the state government and its people, as well as the families of the victims. He prayed for the repose of the souls of the deceased and for the speedy recovery of those injured, highlighting the need for collective efforts to address the root causes of insecurity and promote peace and stability in the region.
