Kim Taehyung Fans Adopt Bench At Versailles Palace

Kim Taehyung, a member of the popular K-pop group BTS, has been honored by his global fan communities through a unique milestone in France. The fans have adopted a stone bench at the historic Château de Versailles, a UNESCO World Heritage site, as part of the palace’s official heritage patronage program. The adopted bench, situated in the gardens of Trianon, marks the first time an international personality has been recognized at the site since 2014.

The Château de Versailles, one of Europe’s most visited landmarks, welcomes nearly 15 million visitors annually. The fans’ initiative, dubbed “Taehyung’s Corner,” coincided with the artist’s birthday, symbolizing a connection between celebration and legacy. This project is part of a broader global effort, with multiple large-scale birthday projects unfolding worldwide.

In addition to the Versailles initiative, fan collectives across regions have launched various tributes. In China, fans sponsored an airplane, while in Shanghai, a 3D mega screen displayed messages on Nanjing East Road’s Century Square. Similar installations were set up in Changsha and Seoul, with digital lightbox screens along Seoul Subway Line 2 carrying birthday messages.

The global projects also extended to Colombia, where fans launched “Project Three: V On Screen,” displaying messages on screens at Mall Plaza in Bogotá. To commemorate Taehyung’s 30th birthday, a photobook titled “Type 非” was released, featuring 20 chapters and 20 screens, serving as a final archival record of his twenties.

The fans’ efforts demonstrate their dedication and appreciation for the artist, with many initiatives focused on charity and philanthropy. The global projects have sparked widespread attention, highlighting the significant impact of Kim Taehyung’s fan base. As the birthday celebrations continue, fans around the world are coming together to honor the artist, solidifying his position as a beloved and respected figure in the entertainment industry.
