Media personality Morayo Afolabi-Brown has announced the launch of a new national talk show, The Morayo Show, aimed at promoting inclusive and interactive conversations around Nigeria’s social, cultural, and emotional issues. The daily live audience program is set to premiere on January 5, 2026, and will air on News Central TV, NTA Lagos, and TVC Entertainment, with additional distribution across digital platforms.
The show is designed to give everyday Nigerians a central voice, moving conversations away from a top-down approach. Afolabi-Brown stated that the program will foster conversations that are “inclusive, human, and impactful,” reflecting the realities, questions, and aspirations of Nigerians. The show will be produced from a newly built studio on the Lagos Mainland, which will also serve as a multipurpose creative space for talk shows, interviews, podcasts, movie premieres, and professional recordings.
With over 20 years of experience in Nigerian broadcast media, Afolabi-Brown noted that the new show marks a personal and professional shift in her career. She emphasized the need for safe and held spaces for expression, stating that Nigeria suffers from a lack of listening rather than a lack of opinions. The show will focus on issues such as society, culture, relationships, family, faith, identity, leadership, business, creativity, and national development, viewed through the experiences of ordinary Nigerians.
The audience will play a central role in the program, with Afolabi-Brown moderating conversations with around 80 audience members, alongside guests and social media participants. The show’s broadcast partnership with News Central Television and TVC Entertainment reflects their commitment to building a future-ready media organization anchored on quality journalism and strong partnerships.
The program is scheduled for a 7:00 pm primetime slot on News Central to maximize reach and impact. The promoters plan to sustain the show through sponsorships and partnerships, with advertisers expected to engage the platform following its official studio launch on December 18. Afolabi-Brown described the project as a calling rather than a career move, expressing her excitement and gratitude for the opportunity to build a better Nigeria through the show.
