ADC Criticizes APC Over Nigeria’s Direction Amidst Hardship

The African Democratic Congress (ADC) has expressed concerns that the current administration, led by the All Progressives Congress (APC), is not on the right track. This sentiment was shared by the party’s National Publicity Secretary, Bolaji Abdullahi, during an interview on Channels Television’s “Politics Today” program.

Abdullahi discussed the widespread hardship faced by many Nigerians, stating that the current situation is unprecedented. He criticized the government’s response to the economic challenges, saying that despite records indicating the country is not progressing as it should, officials claim the economy is doing well. Abdullahi noted that the administration continues to make promises, as if they are not responsible for the country’s current state, three years into their term.

The ADC spokesman also highlighted the perceived lack of sensitivity and care from the government regarding the struggles of the people. He pointed out that the president frequently travels abroad, even during times of crisis, which he believes demonstrates a lack of commitment to addressing the country’s problems. In contrast, Abdullahi mentioned that former President Goodluck Jonathan remained in the country and did not abandon his duties during challenging times.

The ADC’s comments come as many Nigerians continue to face economic hardship, with rising costs of living and limited access to basic necessities. The government has faced criticism for its handling of the economy, with some arguing that its policies have not effectively addressed the needs of the population. As the country moves forward, it remains to be seen how the administration will respond to these concerns and work to improve the lives of its citizens. The ADC’s statement serves as a reminder of the need for the government to prioritize the well-being of its people and take concrete steps to address the country’s economic challenges.
