Wike confident God will stop bad people in Rivers State

Nyesom Wike, the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, has expressed confidence that God will not allow “bad people” to prevail in Rivers State. Wike made this statement during a ‘thank-you-visit’ to the Bonny Island area of the state on Thursday. He emphasized the importance of not generalizing about a group of people based on the actions of a few individuals.

Wike stated that he appreciates the people of Bonny Island for showing him love and demonstrating that they can be trusted. He noted that it is incorrect to label an entire group as bad due to the actions of one person. Instead, he acknowledged that there are different kinds of people, including good and bad, in every place.

The minister’s statement comes amidst the ongoing impeachment proceedings against Rivers State Governor Siminalayi Fubara by the state’s House of Assembly. Wike’s comments may be seen as an attempt to reassure the people of Rivers State that despite the current challenges, the majority of good people will prevail.

Wike emphasized that the good people in the state outnumber those who seek to cause harm, and he expressed his faith that God will not allow evil to prevail over good. This statement suggests that Wike is optimistic about the future of Rivers State and believes that the state will overcome its current challenges.

The impeachment proceedings against Governor Fubara are a significant development in the state’s politics, and Wike’s statement may be seen as an attempt to calm the situation. As the situation unfolds, it remains to be seen how the impeachment proceedings will affect the state’s governance and the people of Rivers State.

The people of Rivers State are watching the developments closely, and many are waiting to see how the situation will be resolved. With the minister’s statement, it is clear that the federal government is also monitoring the situation and is committed to ensuring that the state is governed in a fair and just manner.
