CAC Celebrates 35 Years of Public Service and Transparency

The Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC) has reaffirmed its commitment to delivering efficient services to its customers and stakeholders. In a statement, the commission expressed its dedication to upholding public trust and supporting Nigeria’s economic development.

To commemorate its 35th anniversary in February, the CAC has planned a series of activities. The celebrations, tagged “CAC@35,” will commence on February 9 with the theme “35 Years of Upholding Public Trust through Provision of Excellent Service Delivery.” The event aims to reflect on the commission’s institutional journey, promote transparency, and highlight its role in strengthening Nigeria’s business environment.

The anniversary activities will begin with a Muslim prayer session on February 6 at the National Mosque, followed by a thanksgiving service on February 8 at the National Ecumenical Centre. The CAC official anniversary lecture, titled “CAC as Gateway to the Nigerian Economy,” will take place on February 9 at the Abuja Continental Hotel. Additionally, the commission will visit an orphanage and Internally Displaced Persons (IDP) camp on February 12, as part of its corporate social responsibility.

An ICT Day, themed “ICT for Today and Tomorrow: The Public Sector Perspective,” will be held virtually on February 11 via digital platforms, including Zoom and Google Meet. The anniversary activities will culminate in a dinner and award night scheduled for February 13 at the Abuja Continental Hotel.

The CAC’s 35th anniversary celebrations are significant, as they highlight the commission’s contributions to national development, corporate governance, and ease of doing business. The event provides an opportunity for the commission to reflect on its achievements and reiterate its commitment to providing excellent service delivery. With its planned activities, the CAC aims to promote transparency and strengthen Nigeria’s business environment, ultimately supporting the country’s economic growth and development.
