The mother of 12-year-old Anuoluwapo, at the center of a paternity dispute involving Afrobeats star Davido, has come forward with allegations of intimidation and manipulation by the Adeleke family. In a recent statement, she denied claims that additional DNA tests were conducted in 2020 to determine the child’s biological relationship to Davido.
The woman expressed shock and disappointment upon learning that her sister, Titilayo Labinjoh, had been in contact with Dr. Adedeji Adeleke, Davido’s father, since the COVID-19 pandemic. This development reportedly caused concern within the family, particularly when Titilayo reached out to their mother from Abuja, expressing fear over renewed media attention surrounding Anu.
The mother of Anuoluwapo also addressed allegations of collaborating with blogger Kemi Olunloyo to push a narrative, stating that Olunloyo had initially supported the family during a 2018 appeal and had held a press conference on their behalf. However, she clarified that she had resumed posting on social media in 2023, during Anu’s 10th birthday, and that her mother independently posts some of Anu’s videos.
In a direct message to Dr. Adeleke, the mother emphasized that as the patriarch of the family, he should not speak on Davido’s behalf and that Davido should address her directly regarding the situation. She accused the Adeleke family of abusing their influence and wealth, alleging that a family member was used to monitor them.
Regarding the DNA tests, the mother firmly denied claims of additional tests conducted in 2020, stating that she and Anu never met with Dr. Adeleke for such purposes. She also dismissed any suggestion of a connection between Anu and Davido’s cousin, B-Red, explaining that suspicions originated from questions posed by Kemi Olunloyo during an interview.
