Nigerian Army Rescues 11 Kidnapped Victims in Kaduna State

A recent operation by the Nigerian Army has resulted in the rescue of 11 kidnapped victims in Kachia Local Government Area of Kaduna State. The successful rescue mission was carried out on Monday night along the Kaduna–Abuja road, following the detection of suspicious movement by troops deployed at Forward Operating Base, FOB, Doka. The troops utilized a long-range CCTV camera to identify armed terrorists moving through the bush with the kidnapped victims.

Upon sighting the approaching troops, the terrorists abandoned their captives and fled into the bush. The soldiers secured the area, firing probing shots to prevent any potential counterattack. However, no further contact was made with the terrorists. A total of 11 victims were rescued, comprising five adult males, three females, and three children.

The rescued individuals revealed that they were abducted from the Gada Mallam Maman community in Kachia LGA on October 26, 2025. They were later conveyed back to their community, where they were reunited with their families. The military has reaffirmed its commitment to sustained operations aimed at degrading criminal elements and ensuring the safety of lives and property along major routes and communities.

The Nigerian Army’s swift response to the kidnapping incident highlights the importance of effective surveillance and rapid deployment in combating terrorism and kidnapping in the region.
