Nollywood actor Bolanle Ninalowo has been appointed as the Atlanta, United States, coordinator for a President Bola Tinubu support group, Relax Tinubu Is Fixing Nigeria (RTIFN). The announcement was made by Ninalowo himself via a post on his official Instagram page.
In the post, Ninalowo shared a promotional poster for RTIFN which featured his photograph alongside the logo of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Nigeria’s ruling party. He captioned the image, “Honored to serve as Coordinator Atlanta/USA for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu,” formally accepting the role.
RTIFN is an advocacy group established to promote and defend the policies and administration of President Tinubu. It was founded by Seyi Tinubu, the president’s son, positioning itself as a grassroots movement aimed at consolidating support for the president’s agenda both within Nigeria and in the diaspora.
This appointment follows a similar announcement earlier the same day. Seyi Tinubu had presented an appointment letter to celebrity businessman Obi Cubana, naming him the South-East Coordinator for the ‘City Boy Movement’. That group is described as a campaign platform focused on mobilizing support for President Tinubu’s anticipated re-election bid in 2027.
The consecutive appointments of two high-profile figures from Nigeria’s entertainment and business sectors underscore a strategic effort to leverage celebrity influence and diaspora networks for political mobilization. Ninalowo’s role as the U.S. coordinator specifically targets the significant Nigerian diaspora community in Atlanta, a major hub for Nigerian expatriates in North America.
The developments highlight the ongoing organizational efforts by allies and family members of the president to build a robust support structure ahead of the next electoral cycle. By engaging influential public figures, these groups aim to shape public discourse and strengthen the administration’s connection with key demographics at home and abroad. The actions signal a continued focus on structured advocacy for President Tinubu’s governance and future political prospects.
