Cubana Chief Priest Heads Imo State CBM for Tinubu 2027

The City Boy Movement (CBM), a youth-focused organization supporting President Bola Tinubu’s 2027 re-election campaign, has appointed Pascal Okechukwu, widely known as Cubana Chief Priest, as its Imo State Director. The announcement was made through the movement’s official Instagram page.

In its statement, CBM said Okechukwu’s appointment leverages his experience, influence, and grassroots connectivity to advance the president’s Renewed Hope agenda. The post described him as a symbol of “dedication, strategic leadership, and unwavering commitment” to the movement. His responsibilities will include driving local mobilization, strengthening organizational structures, and promoting the agenda’s objectives across Imo State.

CBM positions itself as a vehicle for youth engagement in Nigerian politics, explicitly aligning with Tinubu’s re-election bid. The Renewed Hope agenda refers to the administration’s policy framework covering economic, security, and infrastructure initiatives. Imo State, in southeastern Nigeria, is considered electorally significant due to its large youth demographic and historical voting patterns.

The movement’s statement emphasized a vision of “progress and unity” for Imo State, linking the appointment to broader goals of inclusive development and sustained political participation. By installing a well-known figure in a regional leadership role, CBM aims to deepen its on-the-ground network ahead of the 2027 general election. This move reflects ongoing efforts by pro-government groups to consolidate support in key states through localized leadership appointments.
