Portable Accuses Ex-Partner Queen Dammy of Public Denial Amid Reconciled Relationship
Nigerian singer Portable has publicly accused Queen Dammy, the widow of the late Alaafin of Oyo, of denying their ongoing relationship days after they allegedly reconciled. The controversy emerges amid a longstanding dispute between the two figures.
According to media reports, Portable and Queen Dammy ended their relationship in December 2024 following a public and acrimonious online altercation. That earlier conflict included Portable making remarks about Ibadan, Oyo State, Queen Dammy’s hometown, which led to an indigenous ban on his performances in the city. The situation appeared to subside after January 2025.
The current dispute began when Queen Dammy, during a recent TikTok live session with streamer Salo, stated that Portable no longer existed in her life. In response, Portable shared a video on social media refuting her claim. He alleged that they had reconciled after she sought forgiveness and that they had agreed to keep their relationship private.
Portable provided specific details to support his claim, stating that Queen Dammy is currently residing in an apartment he rents for her in a city outside Ibadan. He further alleged they were together the night before her live session, saying, “I ask her why she was denying me. Does she not want people to know we are back together?”
He concluded by criticizing her for not acknowledging his support, suggesting she should “beg Ibadan people to forgive me and tell them that I’m still responsible for her upkeep.” His statement also included a personal remark about her future relationships.
Queen Dammy has not yet responded publicly to these latest allegations. The incident highlights the ongoing tension between the former couple and the challenges of navigating personal relationships under public scrutiny in Nigeria’s celebrity landscape. The focus now turns to whether either party will provide further clarification or if the matter will remain a point of public debate.
