Galatasaray Denies Osimhen Transfer Rumors, No Offers Received

Galatasaray has firmly denied reports linking star striker Victor Osimhen with a summer exit, with a club insider stating management has received no offers for the Nigerian forward and he is not seeking to leave.

The dismissal comes amid speculation that top European clubs, including Barcelona and Atlético Madrid, are monitoring Osimhen’s situation. Barcelona is reportedly seeking a long-term successor to Robert Lewandowski, while Atlético Madrid’s interest follows unconfirmed suggestions that Osimhen is unsettled at the Turkish champions.

Arda Özkurt, a figure described as a Galatasaray insider, directly contradicted these rumours in comments reported by habersarikirmizi.com. He stated that he had inquired with the club’s management about their intentions regarding the player.

“I asked Galatasaray if they were interested in Victor Osimhen. The answer was, ‘We haven’t gotten any offers, and we don’t plan to sell him,’” Özkurt relayed. He added that Osimhen himself has no desire to depart, accusing those spreading the stories of dishonesty.

Osimhen joined Galatasaray on a permanent basis last summer after a standout loan spell during the 2024-2025 season. He signed a four-year contract that binds him to the club until June 30, 2029, underlining Galatasaray’s long-term commitment to the 2015 FIFA World Cup Golden Boot winner.

On the pitch, Osimhen has continued his productive form, scoring 15 goals in 21 appearances across all competitions this season. His goalscoring prowess was a key factor in his permanent transfer and remains central to Galatasaray’s attacking strategy.

The club’s categorical denial and the player’s existing contract present a significant obstacle to any potential suitors. For Galatasaray, retaining Osimhen is framed as essential to their sporting project, while the reported interest from Barcelona and Atlético Madrid highlights his continued status as one of Europe’s most sought-after forwards. The situation will likely remain focused on the player’s performance and any formal approaches as the season progresses.
