Governor Radda Katsina Cabinet Shuffle, Appointments

Katsina State Governor Dikko Radda has undertaken a cabinet reshuffle, nominating new commissioners and appointing heads of key agencies and senior aides as part of a broader effort to enhance governmental effectiveness and drive development.

The governor forwarded the names of Alhaji Muhammad Sani-Ahmad and Alhaji Mannir Ayuba-Sullubawa to the Katsina State House of Assembly for confirmation as commissioners. Their appointment requires legislative approval before they assume office.

Additionally, Governor Radda approved the appointment of Suleiman Namadi as Managing Director of the Katsina State Erosion and Watershed Management Agency. This agency plays a critical role in combating severe soil erosion and improving water resource management—pressing environmental challenges in the semi-arid northern region of Nigeria.

The governor also named several senior aides. Hajiya Jamila Salman, Alhaji Ibrahim Danjuma, and Hajiya Jamila Salm were appointed as Senior Special Assistants. Separately, Alhaji Musa Dankawu and Alhaji Abdulfatah Kafur were designated as Special Assistants.

In a statement from his Chief Press Secretary, Ibrahim Kaula-Mohammed, Governor Radda congratulated all appointees and expressed confidence in their capacity to contribute meaningfully to governance and the implementation of state policies across their assigned portfolios.

The reshuffle follows Governor Radda’s assumption of office, signaling an immediate focus on assembling a team to address Katsina’s developmental priorities, including environmental management and administrative efficiency. The confirmed commissioners will join the executive council to oversee various state ministries. The appointments are subject to the House of Assembly’s confirmation for the commissioner nominees.
