Biola Adebayo tenders apology over interview with Baba Ijesha [VIDEO]

Nigerian actress and podcaster Biola Adebayo has issued a public apology following widespread criticism over her decision to interview actor Baba Ijesha on her podcast, Talk to B. The apology comes after the interview, conducted over the weekend, sparked accusations that she provided a platform to a man recently released from prison on charges related to sexual assault.

Baba Ijesha, whose real name is Oluwashina Opeyemi, appeared on Adebayo’s show shortly after his release. During the interview, he denied the allegations against him, claiming he was set up by comedienne Abiodun Adefajo, popularly known as Princess. He also referenced actress Iyabo Ojo, a vocal supporter of his prosecution, alleging she had previously entrusted her children to his care.

The interview immediately drew significant backlash, particularly from followers of Iyabo Ojo and Princess. Critics accused Adebayo of using her platform to rehabilitate Baba Ijesha’s image and, by extension, to minimize the severity of child
