Sani Hails Tinubu’s Renewed Hope at APC North West Congress

Governor Uba Sani of Kaduna State has publicly endorsed President Bola Tinubu’s administration, commending its leadership for courage and a clear vision aimed at repositioning Nigeria for sustainable progress. Speaking at the All Progressives Congress (APC) North West Zonal Congress on Wednesday, Governor Sani, who coordinates the party’s North West zone, detailed what he described as transformative reforms under the government’s “Renewed Hope Agenda.”

Sani asserted that the reforms are creating a foundation for long-term growth, citing specific sectors. He noted that targeted interventions in agriculture are boosting productivity and strengthening food security. In the oil and gas sector, he said reforms are enhancing efficiency and transparency to secure the nation’s energy future. The governor also highlighted decisive fiscal and tax measures aimed at economic stabilization and inclusive development.

Further achievements mentioned include the introduction of a Student Loan Scheme to improve access to education for disadvantaged youth and massive nationwide infrastructure investments in roads, rail, and energy. These projects, he stated, are reconnecting communities and stimulating commerce.

Governor Sani reported tangible improvements in security and economic activity within the North West, claiming farmers are returning to fields and markets are reviving due to what he termed “purposeful leadership.” He framed these gains as validation of the APC’s policies.

The congress, Sani explained, is strategically focused beyond leadership selection. Its purpose is to consolidate party unity, strengthen organizational structures, and align future strategies. He urged delegates to conduct the process with fairness and discipline, reflecting democratic values.

In a significant show of party cohesion, Governor Sani warmly welcomed Governor Dauda Lawal of Zamfara State and Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf of Kano State—previously from other political affiliations—into the APC. He described their arrival as a strengthening moment for the party’s collective vision and national outlook.

The event underscores the APC’s efforts to solidify its ranks ahead of future electoral cycles, with regional leaders actively promoting the federal government’s agenda while emphasizing grassroots unity and institutional strengthening. The congress concludes as a key procedural step in the party’s internal coordination.
