A former national chairman of the youth wing of the Christian Association of Nigeria (YOWICAN), Belusochukwu Enwere, has extended congratulations to President Bola Tinubu on his 74th birthday, commending the administration’s economic reforms and infrastructure development.
In a goodwill message, Enwere described President Tinubu as a “visionary leader” whose policies are reshaping Nigeria’s economic landscape. He specifically praised the removal of the fuel subsidy and the unification of the foreign exchange market as difficult but necessary steps to stabilize the economy, noting they have improved fiscal transparency and are restoring investor confidence.
The former youth leader also highlighted the government’s revenue generation drive, debt management efforts, and palliative programs aimed at supporting vulnerable groups and small businesses amid economic adjustments.
On infrastructure, Enwere pointed to ongoing federal projects, particularly in the South-East region. He cited the rehabilitation of sections of the Enugu-Port Harcourt Expressway, roads linked to the Second Niger Bridge, and renewed focus on rail and power projects. He stated these initiatives boost trade, connectivity, and regional economic integration, reflecting an inclusive governance approach.
Regarding security, Enwere acknowledged intensified operations against insurgents, bandits, and separatist criminal elements, alongside improved inter-agency coordination. He expressed optimism that the government’s combined kinetic and non-kinetic strategies would achieve lasting peace.
Enwere urged Nigerians to offer constructive support for the reform agenda, praying for the President’s health and wisdom. President Tinubu, who took office in May 2023, continues to implement a reform-focused agenda centered on economic recovery, infrastructure, and security amidst domestic and global challenges.
