Armed robbers have reportedly invaded the home of Nigerian music duo Adegbodu Twins, just days after the burial of one-half of the group, Taiwo Adegbodu.
The incident occurred on Tuesday night around 9pm, leaving the family in distress. Kehinde Adegbodu, the surviving twin and member of the music duo, disclosed the robbery in an online video on Thursday evening. He stated that the robbers stole clothes, shoes, phones, gold, and other valuables from the residence.
Expressing deep concern for his family’s safety, Kehinde clarified that he does not possess the money donated for his brother’s burial by the burial committee. He suggested that the robbers may have been searching for those funds, noting that one of the attackers made phone calls saying, “Kehinde is not at home. We met his wife and his late brother’s wife with their children. We can’t find any money in the house.”
Kehinde explained that he was in Osun State when his late twin brother’s wife called to inform him of the invasion. He rushed home, finding family members and children terrified after encountering armed intruders. He emphasized that all donated funds had already been used for Taiwo’s burial and to complete the unfinished building where the burial took place.
Appealing for peace and safety, Kehinde pleaded, “If you’re coming for me for offending you, please forgive me. I’m pleading for forgiveness even though I know that I did not offend anyone. I’m doing this video because my family is no longer safe. I don’t want our name to become popular again for bad news.”
Media Talk Africa reports that Taiwo Adegbodu died of a heart attack on March 1, 2026, and was buried on March 31, 2026.
