APC NWC Members List After 2026 National Convention

The All Progressives Congress (APC) has officially presented Certificates of Return to members of its newly constituted National Working Committee (NWC) following the party’s national convention held in 2026. The ceremony took place on Thursday at the APC National Secretariat in Abuja, marking a significant milestone in the party’s leadership transition.

The Election Sub-Committee of the convention oversaw the formal presentation, which was attended by key party stakeholders and newly elected NWC members. The event underscored the APC’s commitment to internal democracy and organizational renewal ahead of future electoral contests.

Leading the new NWC is Prof. Nentawe Goshwe Yilwatda, who was elected as National Chairman. Supporting him in the deputy roles are Hon. Ali Bukar Dalori (North) and Dr. Benjamin Obi Nwoye (South). The secretariat is headed by Sen. Surajudeen Ajibola Basiru as National Secretary, with Prof. AbdulKarim Abubakar Kano serving as Deputy National Secretary.

The committee also includes regional representatives across the six geopolitical zones, with Hon. Victor Giadom (South-South), Dr. Ijeomah Arodiogbu (South-East), Isaac Kekemeke (South-West), Barr. Idris Shuaibu (North-East), Hon. Mu’azu Bawa Rijau (North-Central), and Hon. Garba Datti Muhammad (North-West) elected as National Vice Chairmen.

Other key positions filled include Felix Morka as National Publicity Secretary, Sen. Abubakar Maikafi as National Auditor, Dr. Mary Alile-Idele as National Women Leader, and Dayo Israel as National Youth Leader. The committee also features specialized roles such as National Legal Adviser, National Treasurer, and representatives for persons with disabilities and various interest groups.

The newly elected NWC is expected to drive the party’s strategic agenda, strengthen internal cohesion, and prepare for upcoming political engagements. The composition reflects a balance of regional representation and professional expertise, aimed at enhancing the APC’s governance and electoral prospects.

The ceremony concluded with calls for unity and collective effort among party members to advance the APC’s vision and consolidate its position as a leading political force in Nigeria.
