The African Democratic Congress (ADC) has updated its National Convention Central Coordination Committee to enhance planning and ensure a credible process for the party’s upcoming national convention scheduled for Tuesday, April 14, 2026. The announcement, made by the party’s National Publicity Secretary, Bolaji Abdullahi, in Abuja, follows an earlier release of the committee structure, with Senator Liyel Imoke serving as Chairman and Senator Aminu Tambuwal as Deputy Chairman.
In a statement signed by the party’s National Organising Secretary, Chinedu Idigo, the ADC approved the nomination of additional members to the convention planning committee. The party urged all committee members to carry out their responsibilities with diligence and called on stakeholders to support the process.
The updated committee list comprises 16 sub-committees, including logistics, electoral, accommodation, venue, security, finance, media and publicity, delegate accreditation, and welfare, among others. These sub-committees are tasked with overseeing various aspects of the convention to ensure its smooth and credible execution.
The ADC’s proactive approach to convention planning reflects its commitment to fostering transparency and inclusivity within the party. As the convention date approaches, the party is expected to intensify efforts to engage stakeholders and finalize preparations. The successful conduct of the national convention will be a critical step in strengthening the ADC’s organizational structure and positioning it for future electoral challenges.
