The sale of nomination and expression‑of‑interest forms will run from 25 April to 2 May 2026, with completed forms due by 4 May. Screening of aspirants for all positions—including presidential, governorship, Senate, House of Representatives, and State Houses of Assembly—will take place from 6 May to 8 May, with presidential aspirants screened specifically on 9 May. Results will be published on 11 May, followed by an appeals period on 12 May and 13 May.
Primary elections are scheduled as follows: the presidential primary on 15 May and 16 May; House of Representatives primaries on 18 May; Senate primaries on 20 May; State House of Assembly primaries on 21 May; and governorship primaries on 23 May. Appeals arising from the primaries will be heard through 25 May.
The party has also set nomination and expression‑of‑interest fees: ₦100 million for presidential aspirants, ₦50 million for governorship candidates, ₦20 million for Senate hopefuls, ₦10 million for House of Representatives candidates, and ₦6 million for State House of Assembly aspirants. Female aspirants, youths, and persons living with disabilities will pay only the expression‑of‑interest fee plus 50 percent of the nomination fee.
Morka reaffirmed the APC’s commitment to conducting credible, transparent, and fair primaries, emphasizing the party’s dedication to strengthening internal democracy and ensuring equal opportunity for all aspirants. The timetable reflects the APC’s intent to consolidate its progressive ideals while maintaining a structured and inclusive electoral process ahead of the 2027 general elections.
