NANS: OFFICE OF THE JCC PROVOST FCT MEETS WITH THE GWAGWALADA AREA COUNCIL CHAIRMAN To Faciliate Way Forward as regards to Students Security on Campus

THE OFFICE of Provost Marshal FCT Comr VC kanwei Accompanied by some Executives of NANS JCCT FCT, Welfare Director Comr Ojobo David Tochukwu and concerned Comrades of FCT axis had a meeting with Hon Abubakar Jibrin Giri the Executive Chairman of Gwagwalada Area Council of Fct. Abuja. The meeting was also in presence of HOD of Education area council Mrs Ajia Zara as we discuss the way forward, as it regards to students securities in fct and the need for students to be security cautions within the school environment and outside the school environment.

Media Talk Africa also gathered that the office of the Provost Marshal Fct has made some necessary arrangement to conduct the forth security awareness programme to Educate the Secondary School Students in FCT theme ‘’GWAGWALADA AREA COUNCIL SECONDARY SCHOOL SECURITY AWARENESS SUMMIT’’ We intend to provide the necessary information and insight on matters of security challenges in the country to students, teachers and other stakeholders in the education sector, and to provide efficient security guidelines.

The aim of this Summit is to provide novel information on security awareness, behavior and culture, especially to Secondary school students in Gwagwalada Area Council Fct Abuja and also promote security in encouraging good learning environment. During this Summit we have made available some resource speakers and experts from various security Agencies and the educational sector to enlighten, Sensitize and awaken the consciousness of the students and the role students and teachers have to play to support and promote security in educational environment and society at large.

We intend to improve the security capacity of participants to secondary schools students. We believe that while security bodes well for the overall well-being of the students, expression through this event remains paramount for their Safety, through impartation and improvement of awareness in Security in our learning environments stated by NANS FCT Provost Marshal.
Today’s security landscape requires every individual to take responsibility the threat to safety and security seriously. Safety and secure environments can be achieved by applying principles, concepts and knowledge of access and egress control, risk management, physical security procedures, alongside security and resilience measures. This specialized security submit by office of the NANS PROVOST JCC FCT will provide the students with the adequate/required skills and foresight to protect assets such as; people around them, school properties, policies procedure and reputation through engaging live exercises, capacity building demonstrations seminars, workshop and active participation.

Freedom of citizens from oppressive rule, economic exploitation, discrimination gender inequality and exclusion, diseases outbreak, homelessness, starvation, ignorance and illiteracy, environmental degradation and all other forms of structural and criminal violence. Security is both a means and end, with intrinsic value. Like every goal, the attainment of national security involves several institutional and organizational processes and activities as well as individual efforts that are governed by norms and compliance with them.

MEDIA TALK AFRICA gathered that the Gwagwalada area council chairman HON Abugiri commended the office of the provost, that the office has got some good initiatives and went further in given his consent and approval for the office of the Provost marshal to create this awareness and also made available the gwagwalada area council Sectariate HALL to be able to host this awareness successful as of the time of this meeting on Monday 7th November 2022.

The security Awareness is slated for Secondary Schools in Gwagwalada Area Council,10 Students Representative Each From all the schools including their Staff Stated by Provost Marshal Fct.
