Rivers Govt sacks Hospital Management Board CMD

The Rivers State Government has terminated the appointment of the Chief Medical Director of Rivers State Hospital Management Board, Doctor Kenneth Okagwa.

This was contained in a statement on Friday by the State Commissioner for Health, Professor Princewill Chike.

The statement signed by the press secretary of the Ministry, Ednah Alete, said Okagwa is to hand over the office and other government properties to the most senior officer of the Board.

His termination, according to the state government, is with immediate effect.

The reason for his termination was not stated.
