We must work hard to improve human capital development – Gov. Buni

Yobe State Governor, Mai Mala Buni has said the executive and the legislative arms of government must work hard in the next dispensation.

He stated this when he received members-elect of the Yobe State House of Assembly on a courtesy visit after receiving their certificates of return from the INEC last Wednesday.

Governor Buni, in a statement by his media aide, Mamman Mohammed thanked the legislators saying, the victory in the just concluded election was a collective victory for the people of Yobe state.

“We must work hard in the next dispensation to improve on human capital development”, he said.

According to him, to achieve that, both the Executive and the Legislative arms of government must be on the same page in the interest of the state and its people.

“As a government, we will expand our scope of engagement to include all stakeholders and the youth for good results”, Gov. Buni maintained.

The team of new legislators led by Hon. Buba Kalalawa, assured the Governor of their support and working synergy to move the state forward.

He said the legislature will build on the harmony existing between the two arms of government for the benefit of the people of the state.

“We are here to congratulate each other and you should always count on us for support and cooperation on every policy and programme that would move Yobe State forward”, Kalalawa said.
