Kaduna Electric alerts residents on planned power outage

The Kaduna Electric Distribution Company has alerted Kaduna residents on two planned outages which would occur on Sunday, April 2, in some parts of the state.

The company spokesman, Abdulazeez Abdullahi, who made the disclosure in a statement, said the planned outages were to enable the Transmission Company of Nigeria, TCN, carry out annual maintenance.

“The planned outages are to enable TCN team to carry out annual maintenance of transformer T1 and T2 at Mando Transmission Station, Kaduna.

“Customers in Abakpa, Kurmin Mashi, Isa Kaita, Unguwan Sarki, Unguwan Shanu, Unguwan Kanawa, Hayin Banki Ahmadu Bello Way, NDA, Unguwan Dosa, NAF Base, NDC and MotherCat will be out of supply from 9:00 am to 12:00 pm.

“Similarly, Our esteemed customers in Unguwan Rimi, NITR, Dan Bushiya, Dan Hono, Malali, Millennium City Water Board, Yahaya Road, Dankande, Rigachikun, Katabu, Jaji and Turunku, will be out of supply from 12:30 pm to 6:00 pm,” he said.

He explained that normal supply would be restored as soon as the TCN team was done with the work.

Mr Abdullahi added that the company regretted whatever inconveniences caused its esteemed customers as a result of the development.
