Criticise us constructively – Makinde’s aide appeals to journalists

The Special Adviser to the Governor of Oyo State on Labour matters, Bayo Titilola-Sodo has enjoined journalists in the state to criticise the present government in the state constructively.

Titilola-Sodo made the call when he hosted members of the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ) Oyo council to an Iftar meal in his residence in Ibadan.

The delegation was led by the NUJ chairman, Ismail Ademola Babalola.

Titilola-Sodo in his speech described the NUJ as a versatile union that has been helping to shape the current democracy in the country.

He, however, enjoined journalists to criticise the people in power constructively.

Titilola-Sodo claimed the second term of Governor Seyi Makinde would be better than the first, acknowledging that no government can satisfy everyone in society.

He said “NUJ is a versatile union to associate with.

“I want to say thank you and appreciate what you have done.

“No government can satisfy everyone. It is your job to criticise constructively.

“You have been constructive partners in running the affairs of Oyo State. It is my hope that we will do better”.
