My govt will not be wasteful, Otti tells Abians

The governor-elect of Abia State, Dr Alex Otti, has said he will not run a bogus and wasteful system of government while assuring his supporters that he will create opportunities for businesses to thrive in the state.

This was contained in a statement signed by the governor-elect himself, which was sighted by our correspondent on Friday.

He stated that he would do everything within his power to carry Abians along and empower them.

Otti, who appreciated all the members of his campaign team, assured them that he would not take their sacrifices for granted.

The statement read, “I understand that a lot of people are lobbying for appointments, unfortunately, we cannot appoint everybody, but I can assure you that the government is big enough to empower people and support ideas and businesses, that’s what governments do all over the world. We are going to support people, just come up with your ideas.

“We will not run a bogus system and we will not indulge in waste, because it would amount to hypocrisy if we turn around to do the same thing we accused the present government of doing”.
