Gunmen kidnap three in Ondo

Some gunmen have reportedly kidnapped three persons in the Igoba area of Akure North Local Government Area of Ondo State.

It was gathered that the kidnappers stormed the area on Thursday night and abducted four men but one of the victims escaped. The victims were identified simply as Adeseye, Paul and ‘vulcaniser.’

The monarch of Igoba Community, Oba Adinlewa Adeniyi, appealed to the state government to beef up security in the area, which, according to him, had now become a safe haven for kidnappers.

As of the time of filing this report, the Police Public Relations Officer in the state, Mrs Funmilayo Odunlami, was yet to respond to a text message from our correspondent on the matter.
