Police present N29m cheques to families of 20 Jigawa slain officers

The Jigawa State Police Command has presented cheques worth N29, 280, 412:07 to the families of 20 slain police officers.

This was stated by the spokesman of the command, DSP Lawan Shiisu Adam, in a statement issued and obtained by Media Talk Africa.

He said the presentation of the cheques is part of the IGP’s Family Welfare Insurance Scheme being given to the family of deceased Police Officers.

Commissioner of Police Effiom Emmanuel Ekot, while presenting the cheques, appreciates the effort of the Inspector General of Police, for improving the welfare of the officers and men of the Nigeria Police Force.

He urged the beneficiaries to make judicious use of the money for the betterment of their families.
