He’s my friend – Thiago Silva names best coach for Brazil

Chelsea’s veteran defender Thiago Silva has urged Real Madrid boss Carlo Ancelotti to take up the vacant position in Brazil’s senior national team.

The Selecao are yet to hire a new coach following the departure of Tite after the FIFA World Cup in December.

Brazil is contemplating hiring a foreign coach for the first time and Ancelotti and Jose Mourinho are top on the list.

Both Ancelotti and Silva have worked together during their time at AC Milan and PSG.

“Being honest, I would love it to be him, because of the friendship we have and the understanding,” Silva told TJ Sports USA.

“He was my first coach in Europe, at Milan.

“I’d love him to accept the offer and make the team play the way he wants football to be played.”
