Governor Aminu Waziri Tambuwal has been declared the winner of the senatorial seat in Sokoto South senatorial district.
Tambuwal was declared winner by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) on Sunday
INEC returning officer Professor Abubakar Bagudu made the announcement.
Bagudu said Tambuwal polled 100,860 votes to defeat Abdullahi Danbaba Dambuwa of APC who had 95,884.
The election was held on Saturday, April 15, 2023.
