UCL: Napoli defender, Jesus banks on Osimhen for victory against AC Milan

Napoli Defender, Juan Jesus believes having Victor Osimhen back from injury will give the Partenopei an extra incentive to beat AC Milan.

Luciano Spalletti’s side lost the first leg 1-0 last week with Osimhen missing the tie as a result of a muscle injury.

The Nigerian was back in action in Napoli’s 3-3 draw against Hellas Verona last weekend.

Napoli and AC Milan will lock horns again in the second leg of the UEFA Champions League quarter-final tie at the Diego Armando Maradona Stadium on Tuesday.

Jesus insisted that they are confident of beating their Serie A rivals with Osimhen back in the squad.

“I think that is a problem for the Milan defence, as Victor is our top scorer, he is in good shape and always shows that grit and hunger to do more,” the Brazilian told a press conference on Monday.”

The 24-year-old has scored four goals in five appearances for the Partenopei in the competition this season.
