Champions League: How Chelsea can qualify ahead of Real Madrid – Cahill

Former Chelsea defender, Gary Cahill has urged the current squad to stick to their task and “leave everything out there” against Real Madrid in their Champions League quarter-final clash on Tuesday.

The Blues trail 2-0 from the first leg at the Santiago Bernabeu.

Karim Benzema and Marco Asensio scored for the LaLiga champions.

Chelsea pulled off a stunning comeback on route to winning the trophy in 2012 when they were 3-1 down after the first-leg against Napoli.

However, a side including Lampard and Cahill, fought back to win 5-4 on aggregate in a bizarre last-16 tie.

“My message for what it’s worth is to go out and give it your all, manage the game in the early stages and leave everything out there.

“If you leave everything out there, then you can look in the mirror and say ‘I’ve done all I can do’. Leave everything on the pitch and give everything you can give,” Cahill told BT Sport.
